UIIC AO Recruitment 2026: United India Insurance Company has announced 225 Administrative Officer (Scale-I) vacancies for Generalists and Hindi Officers. United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC), a Public Sector General Insurance Company wholly owned by the Government of India, has invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Administrative Officer (Scale-I). The recruitment is being conducted for Generalists and Hindi Officers for offices across India.

Post Details

Post Names:

• Administrative Officer (Scale-I) – Generalists – 200 Posts
• Administrative Officer (Scale-I) – Hindi Officers – 25 Posts

Total Vacancies: 225 Posts

The vacancies are provisional. The recruitment notification states that candidates can apply for either Generalists or Hindi Officers, but not both. More than one application is not permitted.

Qualification

For Administrative Officer – Generalists:

• Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
• Eligible disciplines include Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Data Science and other disciplines.
• Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations.
• For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, the minimum required marks are 55%.

For Administrative Officer – Hindi Officers:

• Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at degree level with 60% marks.
• OR Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at degree level with 60% marks.
• OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at degree level.
• OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject, or as the medium of examination at degree level.
• OR Master’s Degree in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects, or either of the two as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level.
• Minimum marks required are 60%, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates require 55% marks.

The required qualification must have been obtained from a recognized University or Institute. Candidates must have completed the prescribed qualification on or before 30th June 2026. Working knowledge of computers is also mandatory.

Salary Details

Basic Pay: ₹82,485/-

The pay scale for Administrative Officer (Scale-I) is ₹82,485-4,050(14)-₹1,39,185-4,390(4)-₹1,56,745.

• Other admissible allowances will be provided as per Company rules.
• Gross pay will be approximately ₹1,10,000/- per month at Metropolitan Centres.
• Benefits include Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance and National Pension System (NPS).
• Leased accommodation will also be provided as per Company rules.

Age Limit

Age Limit as on 30th June 2026:

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years
• Candidates must have been born not earlier than 30th June 1996 and not later than 30th June 2005.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 Years
• PwBD Candidates: 10 Years
• Eligible Ex-Servicemen: 5 Years
• Defence personnel disabled in operations: 3 Years
• Widows, divorced women and legally separated women who have not remarried: 9 Years
• Existing confirmed employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies: 8 Years

Where a candidate is eligible for age relaxation under more than one category, the relaxation may be cumulative, subject to the maximum age not exceeding 45 years.

Application Fee

• All Applicants other than SC/ST/PwBD/Permanent UIIC Employees: ₹1,000/- including application fee and service charges + GST as applicable.
• SC/ST/PwBD/Permanent UIIC Employees: Application Fee – Nil.
• Service Charges for SC/ST/PwBD/Permanent UIIC Employees: ₹250/- + GST as applicable.

The application fee and service charges are non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection process for UIIC Administrative Officer Recruitment 2026 will consist of online examinations followed by an interview.

• Tier I – Preliminary Examination
• Tier II – Main Examination
• Descriptive Test
• Interview

Tier I – Preliminary Examination:

• English Language – 30 Questions / 30 Marks
• Reasoning – 35 Questions / 35 Marks
• Quantitative Aptitude – 35 Questions / 35 Marks
• Total – 100 Questions / 100 Marks
• Duration – 60 Minutes

The Preliminary Examination is applicable to both Generalist and Hindi Officer candidates.

Tier II – Main Examination for Generalists:

• English Language – 40 Questions / 50 Marks
• Reasoning – 50 Questions / 60 Marks
• Quantitative Aptitude – 50 Questions / 60 Marks
• General Awareness with special reference to Financial Sector – 40 Questions / 60 Marks
• Computer Knowledge – 20 Questions / 20 Marks
• Objective Test – 250 Marks
• Descriptive Test – 30 Marks

Tier II – Main Examination for Hindi Officers:

• English Language – 25 Questions / 25 Marks
• Reasoning – 25 Questions / 25 Marks
• Professional Knowledge – 50 Questions / 100 Marks
• General Awareness – 25 Questions / 25 Marks
• Computer Knowledge – 25 Questions / 25 Marks
• Objective Test – 200 Marks
• Descriptive Test – 50 Marks

For Generalists, the Main Examination Objective Test and Interview marks will be considered in the ratio of 75:25 for preparing the final merit list. For Hindi Officers also, the Main Examination and Interview will be considered in the ratio of 75:25. The Preliminary Examination and Descriptive Test marks will not be considered for the final merit list.
