- Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk – 700 Posts
- Accounts Clerk Cum Typist – 200 Posts
- Junior Clerk Cum Typist – 600 Posts

The vacancies are distributed among different RRBs and railway zones. Candidates should check the official notification for the detailed vacancy distribution.
Qualification
Candidates must have completed 12th standard or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
- Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk: 12th pass or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Accounts Clerk Cum Typist: 12th pass or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Junior Clerk Cum Typist: 12th pass or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Trains Clerk: 12th pass or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks.
The 50% marks condition is not compulsory for SC/ST candidates, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Ex-Servicemen and candidates who have higher qualifications than 12th standard, as specified in the notification.
Candidates must possess the required qualification by the last date of application. Candidates waiting for their final examination results are not eligible to apply.
Salary Details
The initial basic pay for the RRB NTPC Undergraduate posts is given below.
- Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk: ₹21,700 per month.
- Accounts Clerk Cum Typist: ₹19,900 per month.
- Junior Clerk Cum Typist: ₹19,900 per month.
- Trains Clerk: ₹19,900 per month.
The salary is based on the 7th Central Pay Commission pay levels. Other applicable allowances and benefits will be provided according to railway rules.
Age Limit
The age limit will be calculated as on 1st January 2027.
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
Age relaxation is available for eligible candidates as per the notification.
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation.
- OBC-NCL candidates: 3 years relaxation.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Up to 10 years for UR/EWS, 13 years for OBC-NCL and 15 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories: Age relaxation as per the official notification.

Application Fee
Candidates must pay the examination fee through the online payment system.
- General and other candidates not covered under the concession categories: ₹500.
- SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, minority and EBC candidates: ₹250.
Eligible candidates who appear for the first-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) will receive a refund of the applicable amount after deducting bank charges.
- For the ₹500 fee category, ₹400 will be refunded.
- For the ₹250 fee category, the fee will be refunded after deducting applicable bank charges.

Selection Process
The selection process for RRB NTPC Undergraduate Recruitment 2026 includes the following stages.
- First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Document Verification.
- Medical Examination.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance and merit in the examination stages.
The notification states that the Computer Based Typing Skill Test has been removed for Accounts Clerk Cum Typist and Junior Clerk Cum Typist under this recruitment. However, candidates are expected to have basic computer and typing skills, which may be assessed after joining.
There will be negative marking in the CBT examinations. One-third of a mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
