Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), Hyderabad has invited applications for Apprenticeship Training for the year 2026-27. The recruitment is for Diploma and Graduate Engineering Apprentices and ITI Trade Apprentices. The training period is one year. A total of 538 tentative vacancies are available under the two notifications.

The vacancies mentioned in the notification are tentative. They may increase or decrease depending on the office requirements.

Qualification

For Diploma Apprentices

  • Candidates must have passed 10th and hold a Diploma in Engineering in the respective discipline.

For Graduate Apprentices

  • Candidates must have passed a Graduate Degree in Engineering in the respective discipline.

For ITI Trade Apprentices

  • Candidates must have passed 10th and ITI in the respective trade.
  • Candidates with post-graduation are not eligible to apply.

Stipend Details

Diploma Apprentices

  • The stipend is Rs. 10,900/- per month.

Graduate Apprentices

  • The stipend is Rs. 12,300/- per month.

ITI Trade Apprentices

  • The stipend is Rs. 11,040/- per month for Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Machinist, Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant), Instrument Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant), Motor Mechanics (Vehicle) and Draughtsman (Mechanical).
  • The stipend is Rs. 10,560/- per month for COPA, Diesel Mechanic, Carpenter, Plumber, Welder and Stenographer (English).
  • Selected candidates are entitled to stipend as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age for General Candidates: 25 Years
  • Maximum Age for OBC Candidates: 28 Years
  • Maximum Age for SC/ST Candidates: 30 Years

The age is counted as on the closing date of application.

Selection Process

For Diploma and Graduate Engineering Apprentices, candidates will be selected purely on merit basis. The selected candidates will be informed through email.

For ITI Trade Apprentices, after applying through the NAPS portal, candidates will be selected through a Walk-in Interview. The NFC Selection Committees will examine the applications and select candidates according to the vacancies. Information will be communicated to selected candidates through email.

How to Apply

Candidates must bring the printout of the application form during physical verification. The following documents will be physically verified:

  • 10th/SSC Board examination mark sheet or certificate
  • Graduate/Diploma mark sheet and certificate
  • ITI mark sheet and National Trade Certificate, where applicable
  • Caste Certificate, if applicable
  • Disability Certificate, if applicable
  • Medical/Health Insurance from reputed insurance institutions
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Police Verification Certificate from the Superintendent of Police/Commissioner of Police of the respective district
  • Saving Bank Account number and passbook
  • Hard copy of the online application form
  • Photocopies of all the above-mentioned documents
  • Recent passport-size photographs

For the Police Verification Certificate, candidates should start the process immediately. The certificate must relate to the address mentioned on the Aadhaar Card and is required at the time of reporting for joining. The notification states that there is no specified format for this certificate.

Important Instructions

  • The apprenticeship offer does not give any right to employment in Nuclear Fuel Complex.
  • There is no provision for appointment in NFC after completion of apprenticeship training, and candidates cannot claim such appointment.
  • Selected candidates must report at Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad.
  • Candidates who have already completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in any Government, PSU or private organization are not eligible to apply.
  • Graduate and Diploma Engineering candidates must be registered on the NATS portal before applying.
  • ITI candidates must be registered on the NAPS portal and apply through the portal.
  • Candidates should regularly check their email and keep their email account active during the selection process.
  • Reservation will be applied according to the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time.
  • Candidates claiming SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) reservation must mention their category while registering on the respective apprenticeship portal.
  • Selected candidates must submit a Medical Fitness Certificate from an Assistant Civil Surgeon/Civil Surgeon at the time of joining.
  • Accommodation may be provided by the establishment subject to availability of quarters. Otherwise, candidates have to arrange their own accommodation.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for joining if selected.
  • Selected candidates must execute a contract for one year of training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and the rules made under it.
