Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Tirunelveli has released a recruitment notification to fill 04 vacancies for Senior Scientist, Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture), Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science), and Programme Assistant (Lab Technician) posts. Candidates who meet the required eligibility criteria can apply through offline mode before the last date. Qualification

• Senior Scientist – Doctoral Degree in the relevant subject with 8 years of experience in research, teaching, or extension activities.
• Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) – Master’s Degree in Horticulture or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
• Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) – Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
• Programme Assistant (Lab Technician) – Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Salary Details

• Senior Scientist – Level 13, Rs. 37,400 – 67,000/-
• Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) – Level 10, Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/-
• Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) – Level 10, Rs. 15,600 – 39,100/-
• Programme Assistant (Lab Technician) – Level 06, Rs. 9,600 – 34,800/-

Age Limit

• Senior Scientist – Not more than 47 years
• Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) – Not more than 35 years
• Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) – Not more than 30 years
• Programme Assistant (Lab Technician) – Not more than 30 years
• Age limit is calculated as on 12th July 2026.
• SC/ST Candidates – 5 years relaxation
• OBC (NCL) Candidates – 3 years relaxation
