Qualification
Applicants must have the required qualification for the post they are applying for. The qualification details are given below:
- Engineering Officer Grade 1 (Electrical): First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized university. A valid GATE score of 2024, 2025 or 2026 in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Engineering Officer Grade 1 (Civil): First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. A valid GATE score of 2024, 2025 or 2026 in Civil Engineering is required.
- Scientific Assistant: First Class B.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university with 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Engineering Assistant (Electrical): First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Electrical with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Engineering Assistant (Mechanical): First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Technician Grade 1 (Electrical): ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical.
- Technician Grade 1 (Mechanical): ITI Trade Certificate in Mechanical.
- Technical Attendant Grade 1: Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board. ITI Trade Certificate of two years duration in Electrical or Mechanical is desirable.
- Assistant Grade II: First Class BA/B.Sc./B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA degree from a recognized university and minimum Grade-B certificate in Basic Computer Course (BCC) conducted by NIELIT.
- Multi-Tasking Staff Grade 1: Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board. All posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen.

Salary Details
The selected candidates will receive salary as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
- Engineering Officer Grade 1: Rs. 44,900 – Rs. 1,42,400 per month
- Engineering Assistant: Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400 per month
- Scientific Assistant: Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400 per month
- Technician Grade 1: Rs. 19,900 – Rs. 63,200 per month
- Technical Attendant Grade 1: Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900 per month
- Assistant Grade II: Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100 per month
- Multi-Tasking Staff Grade 1: Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900 per month
Age Limit
The age limit varies according to the post:
- Engineering Officer Grade 1: Maximum 30 years
- Scientific Assistant: Maximum 35 years
- Engineering Assistant: Maximum 35 years
- Technician Grade 1: Maximum 28 years
- Technical Attendant Grade 1: Maximum 30 years
- Assistant Grade II: Maximum 30 years
- Multi-Tasking Staff Grade 1: Maximum 25 years
The crucial date for determining the age limit and other eligibility conditions is 12th October 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules.
Application Fee
- Engineering Officer Grade 1, Scientific Assistant and Engineering Assistant: Rs. 1,000/- for each post.
- Technician Grade 1, Assistant Grade II and Technical Attendant Grade 1: Rs. 700/- for each post.
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen/Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
- Bank transaction charges or payment processing charges, if any, must be paid by the candidate.

Selection Process
The selection process will be different based on the post.
- Engineering Officer Grade 1: Selection will be based on GATE score.
- Engineering Assistant: Computer Based Test (CBT) and job-specific practical skill test.
- Scientific Assistant: Computer Based Test (CBT) and job-specific practical skill test.
- Technician Grade 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Trade Test.
- Technical Attendant Grade 1: Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Assistant Grade II: Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Multi-Tasking Staff Grade 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) and Trade/Proficiency Test.
