Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has released the Artisan Recruitment 2027 notification for 660 Artisan Grade IV vacancies in different trades. Candidates who have completed Class 10, ITI/NTC and NAC in the relevant trade can apply online. - Fitter: 278 Posts
- Welder: 104 Posts

- Foundryman: 12 Posts

Qualification
Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications as mentioned in the notification.
- Candidates must have passed Class 10.
- Candidates must have a National Trade Certificate (NTC/ITI) in the relevant trade.
- Candidates must also have a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade.
- General and OBC candidates must have at least 60% marks in both NTC/ITI and NAC.
- SC and ST candidates must have at least 55% marks in both NTC/ITI and NAC.
- Only full-time regular courses will be considered.
- The required certificates and mark sheets must have been issued on or before 1 October 2026.
- Knowledge of the regional language is desirable for units in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Hindi is desirable for other units.

Salary Details
Selected candidates will initially work as Temporary Artisans for one year.
- First-year consolidated salary: ₹24,000 per month.
- After successful completion of the temporary period, candidates will be considered for regularization as Artisan Grade IV under company rules.
- Regular pay scale after regularization: ₹29,500 to ₹65,000.
- Applicable allowances will be provided as per company rules at the time of regularization.
Age Limit
The age limit will be calculated as on 1 October 2026.
- General and EWS candidates: Maximum 27 years.
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years of age relaxation.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: 3 years of age relaxation.
- Persons with Disabilities candidates: 10 years for General, 13 years for OBC (NCL), and 15 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Ex-servicemen: Age relaxation as per Government rules.
- Candidates with eligible relevant work experience may receive age relaxation of up to 7 years, subject to the conditions in the notification.
- Eligible candidates who were ordinarily domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir between 1 January 1980 and 31 December 1989 may receive 5 years of age relaxation.
- The maximum age, including applicable relaxations, must not exceed 56 years as on 1 October 2026.
Application Fee
Candidates must pay the applicable application and processing fees.
- General / EWS / OBC candidates: ₹1,072 in total, including the examination fee and processing fee with GST.
- SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen candidates: ₹472 in total, including the processing fee with GST.
- Bank charges may apply depending on the payment method.
The application fee is non-refundable.
Selection Process
The selection process has two main stages.
- Computer Based Examination (CBE): Candidates must attend the computer-based examination for their respective trades.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must submit the required documents to prove their eligibility.
- Skill Test: Candidates who qualify in document verification must attend the skill test. The skill test is qualifying in nature.
- Final Merit List: The final merit order will be prepared based on CBE marks for candidates who are eligible after document verification and qualify in the skill test.
Candidates must qualify in both stages of the selection process to be considered for the final merit list.
