Qualification

The educational qualification for each post varies depending on the role and nature of work. Candidates must be Hindus and possess good knowledge of temple customs and rituals.

• For entry-level posts such as Gurkha, Watchman, Sweeper, and Multi-Task Worker, the minimum qualification required is the ability to read and write Tamil. These posts also require familiarity with temple routines and traditions.
• For semi-skilled positions like Cook Assistant, Flower Garland Maker, and Driver, candidates must have passed at least 8th standard. Drivers should also possess a valid Light/Heavy Motor Vehicle license and have at least one year of driving experience.
• For skilled positions such as Mridangam, Nadaswaram, Pujangam, and Vedaparayanam, applicants must have formal training or certification from a recognized institution in the respective art forms. They must also understand the Agama principles and temple musical traditions.
• For higher posts like Tamil Pulavar, Samaya Prasanghi, Computer Operator, and Typist, candidates should hold a degree or diploma in the relevant field. Tamil Pulavars must have a B.Lit, M.A, or M.Lit in Tamil with the ability to recite Thirumurai. Computer Operators should have a diploma in Computer Science and possess Tamil and English typing certificates. Typists must have passed the government technical exam in typewriting for both Tamil and English and be familiar with office automation software.
• For the Siddha Doctor post, a B.S.M.S degree recognized by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and registration with the Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council is mandatory. Nurses must hold a B.Sc or Diploma in Nursing with valid certification.

Salary Details

The salary offered for each post varies according to the role and level of responsibility. Below are the approximate pay scales as per Tamil Nadu Government norms:

• Gurkha, Night Watchman – Rs.15,900 to Rs.50,400 per month
• Mridangam, Pujangam, Tamil Pulavar, Samaya Prasanghi – Rs.18,500 to Rs.58,600 per month
• Vedaparayanam – Rs.15,700 to Rs.50,000 per month
• Kodai Kaara, Maalai Katti, Sweeper – Rs.10,000 to Rs.31,500 per month
• Siddha Doctor – Rs.36,700 to Rs.1,16,200 per month
• Driver – Rs.18,500 to Rs.58,600 per month
• Nurse – Rs.14,000 per month
• Computer Operator – Rs.15,000 per month
• Typist – Rs.15,300 to Rs.48,700 per month
• Multi-Task Worker, Watchman, Melam Player – Rs.11,600 to Rs.36,800 per month

In addition to basic pay, employees will receive allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other applicable benefits under Tamil Nadu Government service rules.

Age Limit

• Applicants must have completed 18 years of age as on the date of application. The upper age limit for all posts is 45 years.
• Relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable as per Tamil Nadu Government rules. Candidates from reserved categories such as SC, ST, MBC, and BC may receive additional relaxation in age according to government policy.
• Candidates should ensure they meet the prescribed age limit before applying for their preferred post.

Selection Process
