IWAI Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 14 Vacancies in LDC

The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) has announced a recruitment notification for various posts including Lower Division Clerk, Junior Hydrographic Surveyor, and Senior Accounts Officer. Post Details

• Lower Division Clerk (LDC) – 4 Vacancies
• Junior Hydrographic Surveyor (JHS) – 9 Vacancies
• Senior Accounts Officer – 1 Vacancy

Qualification

• Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 12th class or equivalent from a recognized board or university. Must have typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer, equivalent to 10500/9000 key depressions per hour on average.
• Junior Hydrographic Surveyor (JHS): Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in Hydrographic or Land Survey. Candidates from the Indian Navy with 7 years of experience in Hydrography and Navigation are also eligible.
• Senior Accounts Officer: Degree from a recognized university with a professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, or SAS Commercial Exam passed. Must have 3 years of experience in managing commercial accounts in government, semi-government, or reputed organizations.

Salary Details

• Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Rs.19,900 – 63,200 per month
• Junior Hydrographic Surveyor (JHS): Rs.35,400 – 1,12,400 per month
• Senior Accounts Officer: Rs.56,100 – 1,77,500 per month

All positions include central government allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Transport Allowance as per rules.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for each post is as follows:

• Lower Division Clerk – 27 years
• Junior Hydrographic Surveyor – 30 years
• Senior Accounts Officer – 35 years

Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms. SC and ST candidates get a relaxation of 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, and PwBD candidates get relaxation ranging from 10 to 15 years depending on their category.

Application Fee

• SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, and PWD candidates: No Fee
• Other Candidates: Rs.500

Selection Process

The selection process will differ for each post:

• Lower Division Clerk: Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Skill Test
• Junior Hydrographic Surveyor: Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Senior Accounts Officer: Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Interview
