Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 06/2026 for recruitment to various Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate) posts. A total of 3,548 vacancies are available for eligible graduate candidates. Interested candidates can apply online from 8th October 2026 to 6th November 2026.

RRB-wise and Railway Zone-wise vacancy details are provided in Annexure B of the official notification. The vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease according to Railway requirements.
Qualification
Applicants must have the required educational qualification on or before the last date of submitting the online application.
- Candidates must have a Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
- The required qualification must be completed before the closing date of the application.
- Candidates waiting for their final examination results are not eligible to apply.
- Post-wise educational qualification and medical standards are given in Annexure A of the notification.
Salary Details
- Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor: Rs. 35,400 initial pay – Pay Level 6
- Goods Train Manager: Rs. 29,200 initial pay – Pay Level 5
- Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist: Rs. 29,200 initial pay – Pay Level 5
- Senior Clerk Cum Typist: Rs. 29,200 initial pay – Pay Level 5
The initial pay is based on the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Age Limit
The age will be calculated as on 1st January 2027.
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 33 Years
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation
- OBC-NCL Candidates: 3 years relaxation
- PwBD Candidates: Up to 10 years relaxation for UR/EWS, 13 years for OBC-NCL and 15 years for SC/ST, subject to the prescribed conditions.
- Other applicable age relaxations will be available as per the official notification.
Application Fee
- For General and other candidates: Rs. 500/-
- For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minority and EBC candidates: Rs. 250/-
- For candidates who pay Rs. 500/-, Rs. 400/- will be refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT, after deduction of applicable bank charges.
- For candidates who pay Rs. 250/-, the applicable fee will be refunded after appearing in the 1st Stage CBT, after deduction of applicable bank charges.
- Fee payment can be made online through internet banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of the following stages:
- 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
The 1st Stage CBT will have 100 questions and the examination duration will be 90 minutes. The questions will cover General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning.
The 2nd Stage CBT will have 120 questions and the examination duration will be 90 minutes. It will cover General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning.
- There will be negative marking in the CBT examinations.
- 1/3 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- The Computer Based Typing Skill Test has been dispensed with for Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist and Senior Clerk Cum Typist under CEN 06/2026.
- Candidates for these posts are still expected to have basic computer and typing proficiency.

- Save or take a printout of the submitted application for future use.
Candidates who have already created an RRB account for earlier CENs can use the same login details. Candidates should enter their account details carefully because important account information cannot be changed after creation.
