RRB JE Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 3,993 Junior Engineer Posts – Apply Online

RRB JE Recruitment 2026: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a new recruitment notification for 3,993 vacancies across India. The available posts include Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant. Candidates who have completed Diploma or B.Sc can apply for these posts. Eligible candidates can submit their online application from 14th August 2026 to 13th September 2026.

Qualification

• Junior Engineer: Candidates should have completed a Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.
• Depot Material Superintendent: Candidates should have completed the required Diploma qualification.
• Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: Candidates should have completed a B.Sc Degree in the required subject.
• Higher qualifications such as B.E/B.Tech are also accepted instead of a three-year Diploma in Engineering in the same discipline, as applicable.

Salary Details

• Junior Engineer: Rs.35,400/- per month
• Depot Material Superintendent: Rs.35,400/- per month
• Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: Rs.35,400/- per month

The selected candidates will receive salary and other applicable benefits as per Railway rules.

Age Limit

Candidates should be between 18 and 33 years of age.

Age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates as per government rules.

• SC / ST Candidates: 5 years
• OBC Candidates: 3 years
• PwBD (General / EWS) Candidates: 10 years
• PwBD (SC / ST) Candidates: 15 years
• PwBD (OBC) Candidates: 13 years
• Ex-Servicemen: As per Government rules

Application Fee

• SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities and Economically Backward Class (EBC) Candidates: Rs.250/-
• Other Candidates: Rs.500/-

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities and EBC categories will get a refund of Rs.250 after appearing for the Computer Based Test.

Other candidates who pay Rs.500 will get a refund of Rs.400 after appearing for the Computer Based Test, subject to the applicable RRB rules.

Selection Process

The RRB JE Recruitment 2026 selection process will be conducted in the following stages:

• 1st Stage Computer Based Test
• 2nd Stage Computer Based Test
• Document Verification (DV)
• Medical Examination (ME)

Candidates have to clear the required stages to get selected for the post.
